“I Am” Poem

I Am a Year 6 student from pinehill school.

I wonder how many friends I will make when I go to Northcross intermediate. I hear laughing and people singing in joy. I see birds flying in freedom. I want the animals in zoos become free and enjoying being in the wild.

I am a student from pinehill school. I pretend to be happy when I’m sad  but I’m sometimes happy not sad. I feel nervous when I go up stage or in front of someone. I touch my cat when ever I feel like. I worry about my brother walking by himself when I go to Northcross. I cry when someone part of my family dies or when something goes wrong.

I am a student from pinehill school. I understand that my parents can’t play with us because of work. I say never keep animals in zoos. I dream about getting the best birthday ever! I try best in football training so I can improve myself. I hope I will make a lot of new friends in Northcross. I am a student from pinehill school

Narrative

Sleeping through the stormy night, the doorbell rang, Ding dong Ding dong, I woke up in fear, then I slightly opened the curtain, but no one was there. The fear was inside me so I decided to get more sleep. Suddenly I fell off bed, then I woke up and turned the light on for my bedroom. My bedroom was a mess, everything was everywhere, then I heard the doorbell rang again, Ding dong ding dong. I quickly tried to turn the light off but the light wouldn't go off, then I saw the mirror and saw myself with brown hairy hair, Pyjamas on and my face was in fear. Suddenly a loud Bang! I begun to freeze like ice. Squeak...  Squeak... I froze more than before... I couldn't do anything at all. I froze as ice but sweating heavy. I thought about the bang... the door... So I chose to go downstairs to see what's happening. The squeak was getting louder.. As I suddenly tried to turn around, I heard a door open, "Ummm... is anyone there?" I asked but there was no answer, so I decided to go downstairs, then I heard my name "Storm..." I tried not to speak or scream, I ran back to my bedroom with no sounds. Breathing heavy and shaking unstoppably something caught my eye then the squeak came again squeak... squeak... the thing that caught my eye was my wardrobe, so I quickly hid there, then my bedroom door open but there was nothing stepping into my be- the light went off... then the wardrobe opened... I to not get spotted, the light went on again, I hardly didn't breathe but nothing was spotted in my eye... finally I got brave enough to speak. "Hello? is anyone there?" the light went off again, on, off, on... I got terrified, so I ran off to the hallway, I hear footsteps coming and getting closer and faster. The chase has begun... Running and running, to the end of the hallway was getting closer and closer. The sound of the footsteps were getting more quite and more quite. I zoomed into the end of the hallway when there was a loud BANG! I suddenly turned around because of the bang. It was a door smash open and closed. running to the end of the hallway, a door banged opened where the end of the hallway is. I decided to go down stairs really fast and quietly. When suddenly there was footsteps were coming behind me... footsteps getting louder... When suddenly I tripped over by a toy... I rolled down the stairs and I saw black pants with black shoe, then I fainted... BEEP! BEEP BEEP BEEEEP "What happened...?" "What was that... and why am I lying down in my room?" I forgot what happened when I got knocked out. "Black pants and black shoe..." I wondered. "I guess... the terror ended..."

The Chase

Breathing heavy and shaking unstopably, something caught my eye, the the squek came again squek... squek... the thing that caught my eye was my wardrobe. So I quickly hid there, then my bedroom door opened, but nothing was stepping into my bedroom.Tic the light went off, then the wardrobe door opened... I tried to not get spotted , the light went on again, I hardly didn't breathe, but nothing was spotten in my eye. finally I got brave enough to speak, "Hello? is anyone there?" the light went off again, on, off, on... I got terrified, I ran off to the hall way I heard footsteps getting closer and faster. The chase has BEGUN.

This slide will tell you why age ratings are there. First of all Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter many other things have age ratings. The age ratings are there so you can be safe, but only when if you follow the instruction. Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter and Instagram are only for 13 years old or older. Do you have Snapchat, Facebook, twitter or Instagram?  Do you use it? If you use it, It could mean you lied about your age. It’s okay, but you could get in serious danger.

Speech (Don't keep animals in zoos)

Do animals belong in the wild? or do animals belong in zoos? animals never belonged in zoos. so today I'm going to talk about why we should not keep animals in zoos.

First of all, when animals get captured by the zoo keepers, how would the animals feel? and not just the captured one, think about the family too. I have a question,  how would you feel when turn into animals and gets caged and lose your family? how would you feel? I would feel sad and scared. 

Another reason why we should not keep animals in zoo is, the animals have a tiny amount of space to play in. You know how bored you can be when you are locked inside a room right? that's how animals feel in a tiny space of room. Here's a fun fact! Did you know, in the wild elephant walks 30 miles a day! That's way bigger then the elephants cage! And lions and tigers loves to climb up walls and run around but they don't have room to run or climb up the walls...

Lastly animals were free in the wild eating, playing, and other things, but when humans got animals in zoos, there was quite a lot of people visiting there so they got more money, so they chose to get more animals. Animals don't like to be caged or treated like that. animals can feel sad in the wild, but way happier then the zoos, but in the zoos they will be sad to be in a cage not in the wild playing with their friends. Some animals gets kicked or get stressed by the people watching. Imagine you are treated like that... I don't even wanna imagine that. But would you like to be treated like that? I will say no.

Now to sum it all up, I talked about why we should not keep animals in zoos, and I wish animals gets free in the wild. 

ANIMALS DESERVES TO BE FREE!!!

L.I Understand the message of the story

They wasn't choosing the right decisions to them and his self. I think the story to me is about don't ride anything that looks unsafe, otherwise you will get in trouble or get hurt.

Rock Climbing!

     Rock Climbing

Our group's name was kereru and we were just about to be at the Rock climbing wall. I was excited and scared to climb the wall. I had to wear the harness, and the helmet  to climb the wall in case I don’t fall off. When it was nearly my turn i heard some bird squeaking.

It was my turn to do the slightly harder one, so I got ready and went up.It was hard and my hand were sweating and turning red but I could hear cheering so I didn’t give up so I did it!. I was proud of myself and I lost my scared feelings and it was really fun!. When I was climbing I was looking down and up to see how high I am. I got better and better so I tried to do no eye’s open on the yellow rock climbing wall. It was hard but it wasn’t scary at all because I couldn’t see how high I am, and how low I am. I got to the end on the yellow wall so I tried the green one with my eye’s covered then I went up but I got stuck somewhere in the middle so I shouted “I want to go down”

Then the parent helper said “ok” so I went down. The last challenge for me was the blue one and I’ll say it’s the easiest one to do. I did it with my eye’s closed. I went up, and up then I was tired but I still carried on. I was wondering where i am so I said “I want to go down’’ then Miss leader said “ok” when I got my eye’s open  was at the top! So I was proud of myself and that was all that’s what I did for Rock Climbing!.

1. I would like to learn my 12x tables by making a flash card  and telling your family to say them so i can do it faster and correctly .

2.I would like to complete my caricature Art looking fantastic by concentrating and  taking my time to finish it looking it FANTASTIC!!!.

3.I want to learn my numbers in maori by using the paper and learning it by your parent to say what number is 3 in maori.

Roy’s outside goal’s

4.I want to get in classter football team for pinehill school because i really like playing football and i can do it by practicing every day at least 30min a day.

5.i want to beat Mr.VB at hand because i have never beat him before so i can beat him by practising with my friend’s or using the wall to bounce it.WQ

4 Weeks At Pinehill School

The first day of 2017 in school was a little bit hard without knowing each other in Rm16.We do lots of things that are fun and hard like brain teasers.

We do brain teaser every Thursday. The first time I didn’t understand it well but when I did them more and more, it got much easier.

Over the next 4 weeks our class played tennis, and catchball.

On 23rd of February we went to the Ruru block for first aid and the helper was Mac. He taught us about what to do when someone is unconscious, and someone is bleeding to death.

In science we learnt about the 3 states of matter. The 3 states of matters are solid, liquid, and solid.  

An example of matter is water.

Water has three states of matter like everything else: Solid, liquid, and gas.

It is ice when it is a solid, water when it is liquid, and steam when it is a gas.
